Dr Steven qualified from the University of Dundee in 2003. He enjoys all aspects of medicine and having worked across a wide variety of medical and surgical specialities he is well placed to help with any issues you may have. Some of the areas he has worked in include Paediatrics, Elderly Medicine, ENT, Urology, Accident and Emergency, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, General Medicine, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Neurosurgery and Orthopaedics.
He has developed a strong interest in musculoskeletal medicine having spent time as an orthopaedic registrar in Mayo and Galway. During this time he also attained a first class Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine at Galway University and is a Member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine in Ireland. He completed 4 years of GP training in Donegal before moving back to Mayo with his wife Linda 3 years ago. He enjoys spending time with his three children and is a keen cyclist. Dr Steven is available for consultations from Monday to Thursday. |
Martina WeirPractice NurseRN
Martina has worked as a practice nurse for over 19 years. She has gained a lot of experience during this time and is well placed to help you with a range of services. This would include childhood immunisations, smears, phlebotomy, dressings, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, ECGs and antenatal care. She also has additional experience in respiratory and cardiac care, family planning, travel vaccinations, occupational health and triage.

Linda qualified from the University of Dundee in 2003. She spent several years working as a pharmaceutical representative in Scotland before moving back to Ireland. Now finally back in her native Westport, Linda has completed a diploma in Practice Management and will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
